                         emprego do NDWI, trabalhando com as bandas espectrais 3 e 5 e 3 e 
                         6 do sensor OLI, sat{\'e}lite Landsat 8 e comparar com o MNDWI 
                         utilizando as bandas 3 e 7. O NDWI utilizando a banda 6 resultou 
                         em informa{\c{c}}{\~o}es mais eficientes comparadas {\`a}s da 
                         primeira an{\'a}lise, entretanto, ambos n{\~a}o delimitaram as 
                         {\'a}reas {\'u}midas, objeto deste estudo. Com o emprego do 
                         MNDWI, fazendo uso da banda 7, obteve-se melhor 
                         representa{\c{c}}{\~a}o das {\'a}reas {\'u}midas bem como dos 
                         espelhos d{\'a}guas presentes na regi{\~a}o. ABSTRACT: This work 
                         was carried out for the Piracicaba river basin in order to detect 
                         wetlands using remote sensing techniques. We chose to evaluate the 
                         use of NDWI, working with spectral bands 3 and 5 and 3 and 6 of 
                         OLI sensor, Landsat 8 satellite and compare with MNDWI using bands 
                         3 and 7. The NDWI using band 6 resulted in information more 
                         efficient compared to the first analysis, however, both did not 
                         delimit the wetlands, object of this study. With the use of the 
                         MNDWI, making use of the band 7, a better representation of the 
                         wetlands as well as the water mirrors present in the region was 
                         obtained.",
